All around Sonnenhang, there are lots of bike trails in the cycling region Tyrol West and all of the Tyrolean Uplands, perfect for racing cyclists, mountain bikers, and those cycling for fun. Moreover, this is also where three well-known long-distance Alpine cycling routes meet. Without any large ascents, the Innradweg is perfect for families and runs beneath the apartment complex. The old Roman road, Via Claudia Augusta, and the Etschradweg via the Reschenpass cross the Alps with a greater difference in altitude from north to south.
Our two rabbits Moritz and Cordula live in the Sonnenhang garden. They like to play with you or entertain your parents while drinking coffee by the pool in the morning. Emelie our daughter born in 2013 is happy to introduce all children to the customs. You can feed the rabbits, stroke them and just watch them.

Hiking fun for children and families. From the starting point at the Venet top station, which is accessible via chairlift from Fließ, the path then takes off down the mountain towards Zammer Alm and the mid-station. There are 5 children’s play areas along the way where you can have some fun and take a break. The ascent back up the mountain is done via cable car, and then on to Fließ with the chairlift.

The fixed-rope route in Zams and the large sport climbing area “Starkenbach” for climbers of all abilities are just a short drive away via the Landecker Tunnel. In Prutz, you can find a climbing area for families at the campsite, and the Ötz Valley is not too far away either, and has lots to offer for climbers.
Blooming meadows, fragrant stone pine forests, crystal-clear mountain streams and lakes, all against the majestic backdrop of the mountain peaks. The Kaunergrat nature reserve is breath-taking and well connected for hikers with an elaborate network of trails – also suitable for high alpine tours. Here, you will be staying more or less at the feet of this Alpine wonderland.
In the #1 holiday region for families, parents and children can find an unbeatable range of attractions among the mountains. The highlights include the Erlebniswelt theme park in Serfaus, with themed hikes, an adventure playground, the ‘Murmlitrail’, and more. The Erlebnispark Hög playground has the Scnhneisenfeger (a family-friendly rollercoaster), a swimming lake, a rafting course, and a lumberjack playground. There is also the Summer Fun Park in Fiss, with attractions like the Fisser Flitzer, Fisser Flieger, Skyswing, and a playground.
The Bikepark in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis has a legendary range of runs for downhill cyclists and trail junkies, and it is only a 25-minute drive away from Sonnenhang. There, you can find trails and lines of varying difficulty levels, several park areas with a pump track, dirt line and slopestyle areas, and a kids’ park.
Families and mountain lovers can look forward to visiting Sommerberg Fendels, not far from Sonnenhang. It offers exciting adventure playgrounds, nature walks, Alpine cuisine, and lots of great activities for children, such as an educational animal trail, and a nature playground.
You have to try out the longest summer toboggan run in Tyrol! Exactly 3,535 metres of high-speed fun with sharp twists and turns await you here. Of course, there are countless places to take a break all around, and even children’s play areas for the youngsters. Accessible in 20 minutes via the Landecker Tunnel.

SWIMMING & BATHING NEAR SONNENHANG
In addition to our on-site infinity pool, there is a large selection of public pools and swimming lakes in the local region for water lovers to enjoy. Guests at Sonnenhang can use the family-friendly Freibad Fließ public pool for free with the TirolWestCard. There are also swimming pools to be found in Prutz, Landeck (free) & Imst. If you like it a little closer to nature, you can visit the swimming lake at Badesee Ried, the Waldweiher in Fließ, the Badeweiher Fuchsmoos, or the Tramser Weiher in Landeck. Quellalpin Kaunertal is a good alternative in uncertain weather conditions.
With its roaring mountain streams and gorges, Tyrol is like it was made for fans of rafting and canyoning. There are lots of possibilities surrounding Sonnenhang. Down from the Inn river, you can find the Sanna, the Imster Schlucht gorge, and the Ötz Valley. Upwards from the Inn river, you can find the Tösener Schlucht gorge. One of the many outdoor experience providers in the area is H2O Adventure in Ried.
Climbing fun for the whole family, only 25 minutes away from Sonnenhang. The rope park at the entrance to Serfaus stands out with its 9 powerful courses up to altitudes of 14 metres and a total length of 1,000 metres.
