REACH INDULGENT HEIGHTS IN IMST
The diverse range of hiking trails surrounding the mountain railways in Imst are only a 20-minute drive away from Sonnenhang. Perfect for families and mountain enthusiasts alike, with lots of cosy places to take a break: The “Gourmet Trio” is composed of the Untermarkter Alm, Latschenhütte, and Mutterkopfhütte, and stands out to its idyllic location and the culinary delights on offer, which have an excellent reputation.

HIKING AND MOUNTAIN CLIMBING IN THE KAUNERGRAT NATURE RESERVE
Blooming meadows, fragrant stone pine forests, crystal-clear mountain streams and lakes, all against the majestic backdrop of the mountain peaks. The Kaunergrat nature reserve is breath-taking and well connected for hikers with an elaborate network of trails – also suitable for high alpine tours. Here, you will be staying more or less at the feet of this Alpine wonderland. Viewpoint tip: Take a walk to Gogles Alm.
HIKING TO KRONBURG IN ZAMS
On a hill between Zams and Schönwies, there is an excellent traditional guesthouse, Kloster Kronburg (940 m). From Sonnenhang, you can reach it on a simple and beautiful circular walking route through idyllic meadows and forests. From the Kloster, you can climb a further 20 minutes to reach the Kronburg Ruins with a view over the Inntal valley. Approximately 4 hours.

The “Tiroler Edle” is a local chocolate specialty by Konditorei Haag in Landeck. Master confectioner Hansjörg Haag knows how to enchant gourmets with the finest chocolates made from milk from the exquisite Tiroler Grauvieh cows.
The gourmet tour leads you from the mid-station of the Venet mountain railway up to Gogles Alm via cable car, where the happy cows provide the milk for the chocolate creations. From there, you can continue on foot to the Restaurant Gachenblick at the Nature Park House Kaunergrat with all kinds of local specialty dishes. Then, the Nature Park bus can bring you back to Landeck for some chocolate tasting at Konditorei Haag.
